About GP companion

A welcoming space where primary care clinicians come together to learn, share, and support one another.

Why GP companion exists

GP Companion began from a feeling many of us recognize — working alone in general practice, juggling a full waiting room while trying to remember or find the right guidance for the patient in front of us.

What started as a small personal project grew into a space to quickly check things, learn from colleagues, and feel less isolated in everyday clinical decision‑making.

Built by a GP for fellow clinicians, this platform is shaped by the realities of primary care and the belief that we are better, kinder, and more confident when we learn together.

Our purpose

To bring together concise clinical references and a thoughtful community so that we can make safe and better decisions faster and at the same time learn from each other.

Our values

🤝 Collaboration over competition

📖 Practical, usable knowledge

🧭 Respect for evidence, context, and experience

💙 Kindness and professionalism

Clinical note

All content on GP Companion is educational. It supports, but never replaces, clinical judgement, local protocols, or specialist advice.
